First, it’s important to clarify a common misconception:
All movements used in replica watches are imitation movements — none of them are genuine Swiss or Japanese movements.
Many sellers claim to offer “Swiss movements” or “Japanese movements,” but these are replicas modeled after Swiss or Japanese calibers. A small portion of Japanese movements (such as Citizen/Miyota movements) are indeed imported from Japan, but these are standard mass-produced movements sold openly by movement manufacturers — not by luxury watch brands.
The logic is simple: No luxury watch brand sells its own proprietary movements or internal components to the public.
Replica watch movements generally fall into three categories: low-end, mid-range, and high-end. The most common types are listed below:
1. Chinese Movements — 2813 (Mingzhu 2813)
These movements are simple, low-cost, and less stable. Our studio no longer sells watches with 2813 movements, so no pricing is listed.
2. Japanese Movements — Miyota 8215
Also known as Citizen Miyota 8215.
These movements have a simple structure, good stability, and are widely used in entry-level replica watches. This option is ideal for buyers on a budget who still want reliability.
Typical price: $165–$200 USD
3. Imitation Swiss Movements — 2824, 2836, 2892, 7750, etc.
These are replicated by large factories and offer mid-level performance.
They are more complex and stable than Japanese movements, with better power reserve.
We recommend these frequently because they offer an excellent balance of quality and price.
Commonly used in:
Submariner, GMT-Master II, Datejust, Day-Date, Air-King, etc.
Typical price: $310–$380 USD
4. High-Grade Imitation Movements — 3135, 3235, 3230, 3285, 3255, 4130, 4131
These movements are also produced by major replica factories and feature more complex mechanical structures and longer power reserve.
Watches using these calibers often reach 90% similarity to the original piece.
Used in:
Submariner, GMT-Master II, Datejust, Day-Date, Yacht-Master, Oyster Perpetual, Sea-Dweller, Explorer, Air-King, etc.
This is the version most customers choose and the one we commonly recommend.
Typical price: $430–$480 USD
5. Super Clone Movements (1:1 High Precision Replicas)
A “Super Clone” watch means every internal and external component is replicated 1:1, reaching up to 99% similarity to the genuine model.
These are produced only by top-level factories such as Clean, VS, ZF, RC, and others.
Important clarification:
Not every watch model has a Super Clone version.
Only high-demand models are produced at this level.
For Rolex, nearly all non-diamond models have Super Clone versions.
Because of the higher cost, we only introduce Super Clone options upon request.
